The last PET/CT I had

During my last visit with Dr. Kasamon we played around with the PET/CT viewer from Advanced Radiology for about ten minutes. We were trying to figure out how to export a very high resolution JPEG image of my "pilot" CT image (the image of my whole body, created via image processing from the many discrete "slices" of CT data). I know the actual image is something huge like 40 or 50 megapixels. We could only figure out how to get one the size of window we were looking at, but it's good enough. I'm going to request a copy of the CD sometime so I can play with it on my own.

Here's a picture of it. It's pretty neat and impressive looking. Modesty did overcome me though. My private parts were pretty ostensible!

  1. This is Ryan humor .. you are so funny. It seems Dr. Kasamon had a mutual interest in your kind of play time. That makes it more funny.
I hope your energy is returning and you get to play outside very soon with nice weather. Maybe before too long you and Emily will be sitting on a deck overlooking your backyard hill.

  2. Ryan,
You are such a HOOT!!!! I'm sure Dr. Kasamon is thrilled to have you as a patient being the tech person you are. When Ken had his wisdom teeth out, the Dr. had a new CT scan and they studied Ken's head for what seemed like hours........"look at this, look at that.....that's so cool"!!!! It was very funny to watch the 2 of them.
Hope your teeth are feeling MUCH better...........see you VERY soon!!!!!

  3. Oh... My... God... This is so freakin COOL!!!!!

And just in a visual sense the "Censor" is about the funniest darn thing I've ever seen. Everything is so crisp & clean & stark & flat out freaky (the very first thing I thought, in fact, was that you looked like the Terminator) but then there's "CENSOR" in big red letters!! Oh god, it's just too good. I'll never again be able to watch the "scary" scene in Terminator where the machine comes out skinless without giggling. I can't wait to see a really high def version of this if you figure it out! It's just so amazing....

  4. OK, my turn.
I always thought I could see right through you, but NOW!!!!
You always came across as a transparent guy.
Now we can see your true inner soul like we could never see before.
I can see now that you are a good person, not just on the outside, but truly on the inside.
    Nice bones Man!!!
    This technology ia so amazing.
Thanks for sharing this with us.
    Hope your enery is UP!!!!
You and Emily have a great weekend.

    Uncle John.

  5. Dear Ryan,

My turn to comment on the Terminator analogy. The Terminator was indestructible, therefore, you also must be indestructible. I like that idea.

I hope you and Dr. Kasamon had fun. I can just see the two of you. Was there some reason, other than entertainment, that motivated the PET/CT project? I'm very happy with Dr. K. He seems like the perfect doctor for you. All former doubt is gone.

Thanks for sharing your innermost secrets.

    I Love You,
    Mom
